DigiLearn joins the Philippine School Overseas 11th Annual Conference

AS PART of the mission of The Inter-Agency Committee on Philippine Schools Overseas (IACPSO) to closely provide assistance to the educational needs of Filipino children overseas, IACPSO organized the Philippine School Overseas 11th Annual Conference on 15-17 May, 2013.

The conference was held at the AIM Conference, Makati City, Philippines. It aimed to equip overseas Filipino educational institutions with the most-up-to-date and comprehensive K to 12 developments. The theme of the conference was “The K to 12 Challenge Enhancing Our Competitive Advantage”.

The end goal of rolling out the new K to 12 curriculum is producing globally competitive Filipino graduates from all over the world. The well-attended event was filled with over 70 representatives overseas from Philippine Schools in United Arab Emirates, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kuwait, Libya, Oman, and China. Observers from an upcoming school in Thailand also attended.

This community of educators continuing to inspire Filipino people all over the world are constantly in the lookout for opportunities to share learing platforms. The Department of Education (DepED), showing support as always, was there for a full integration of the Basic Education Curriculum and the Enhanced K to 12 Curriculum. Apart from the learning experiences, delegates coming from various Philippune Schools Overseas showcased their talents in dancing, singing, and acting, highlighting their respective cultural heritages.
